The Electronic Padlock

To open the padlock enter the 4 digit code followed by the Unlock key. The padlock will beep and show 2 green lights.

Pull the shackle and the padlock is open.

If you make a mistake press the Clear button and start again.

If you are going to leave the gate open hang the padlock on the end hole and lock it.

To lock the padlock press down on the shackle. That’s it. It locks automatically

If you are going to lock the gate always leave the padlock like this so that it can accessed from either side

It only needs slight or moderate pressure to close the padlock. If you can’t push the shackle back in, it is because the padlock will have locked up. The padlock locks automatically if left for a short time – usually about a minute. Simply enter the code followed by the unlock key and the padlock will be unlocked and you can then close the padlock.

Sometimes, if pull too hard, the shackle comes out like this. It is designed to do this. Just push it back in again. We have put dabs of red paint so that you see which way round it goes.

The padlock has an internal rechargeable battery which lasts for several months. In the unlikely event that the battery is flat, there is an "Emergency Kit" kept in the Cabin above the sink. Plug the black power pack into the padlock using the usb cable and open the padlock as normal.
